This is the exact same oroblem i am having. I have 3 firesticks all of them second generation and I have 4 fire TVs and all of them second generation. I am unable to get the Amazon app store on any of tbem. And most apps that I try to download it says downloading not supported at this time.
Only thing I can think of is my tv is not a smart tv it is just an HD tv and using my firesticks or fire tv's is what makes it a smart tv. I have looked everywhere online and no matter how I word it I can not find an answer to why I can not download the app store and most other apps. And then at times I try to get into one of my apps and it will say something happened with Amazon a d to please sign back in to Amazon appstore to continue but I can't get the app store onto my fire tv or firesticks so I could sign in.
So I am just froze there. And if I sign into the Amazon app store using my. Phone or even my fire tablet it is still not recognised as being signed in on my stick or tv because I will still get a prompt asking me to please sign in to the Amazon app store to continue.
